Obsolete gadgets that will baffle today’s youngsters

Do you remember all the good old gadgets from back in the good old days, have a look and see how much you remember…

  • Nostalgia fans have been sharing their much-loved retro gadgets online
  • Answering machines and pagers have been made obsolete by mobile phones
  • Record adapter that looks like fidget spinner used to convert vinyl sizes
  • Flash bar was needed to provide the perfect lighting for photos

With technology evolving at an ever-increasing pace, the mobile phone you used a mere five years ago probably seems old fashioned already.

So it’s no wonder that today’s youngsters would probably struggle to identify tech that seemed like the height of sophistication back in the ’80s and ’90s.

Nostalgia fans have been sharing images of their much-loved retro gadgets online, but most of them will be almost unrecognizable to today’s smart phone users.

Gadgets such as pagers and electronic organizers are now totally obsolete with people using their phones to communicate and arrange their schedules, while video and cassette players are also long gone.

And those used to today’s sleek consoles might struggle to even identify the kind of clunky boxed covered in buttons that people used for gaming a few decades ago.
